Shall Me Bloggy Be Dotty?
I redid my Online Portfolio! I’m diggin’ the Spartan look of it. It makes the message stand out. I’m getting good feedback on it from others so far so that’s a good thing. Now I’m considering applying the same theme to this blog — to make it part of the family moreso, so to speak.
I’m not sure I can match it exactly, with the :hover/:focus on the banner, and the navigation lists at all that jazz. I’m not really crazy about the CSS on this blog. I even had to apply a hack to the image replacement technique to force it to work correctly in Internet Explorer. I didn’t have to do that for the image replacement on my new portfolio site. So… I’m expecting it’ll give me a little grief. But, hey, no pain, no gain. Right? I guess I can manage it. To get it really close, anyway. So it’s back to the should I? part of the equation.
I do like the look of the blog as it is. But the colors are starting to get old in a way. I’m torn. I’m leaning towards a green-dotty transformation of me bloggy but still swaying a bit… what do you think, dear reader? Shall Me Bloggy be Dotty? Or shall it not?

Oh, nice, I love the new design. Yes, it seems that the current trend in design is more sparse designs, making use of whitespace. Hey whatever floats your boat man. It’s your choice I think, this is your own site, your personal nook on the web.
Oh, if you want some image replacement ideas, help, whatever, you can check out BIR.
Nice stuff, mate!

I really like that design, mate. It is clean and easy to navigate. I especially love your contact form!

Thanks guys.
I’m familiar with your BIR, Robert. I like it as a matter of fact. I think it’s a cleaver solution. I read it awhile back but I haven’t used it yet. I have been meaning to.
Someone else said they liked the contact form, Martin. I think what I’m going to do is post it here. I think I’ve finally gotten it the way I want it. Been tweaking it every time trying to get it just right. I’ll post the works, mark-up and PHP, the CSS, and the JavaScript that makes the CSS work in IE.
Okay, back to the dot-thoughts. Hmm.
