Thanksgetting

Posted November 24th, 2005 by Mike Cherim

I’m into Thanksgiving, I’m aware and grateful. To demonstrate, I think this other article I wrote sums up those feelings well. But sometimes getting thanks is noteworthy too. Case in point, I just got an email from a Beast-Blog Theme user that really made me smile. It reminded me that different people are thankful for different things. I also reminded me of why I like to produce open source stuff like the theme and the GreenBeast CMS. I can tell you it isn’t for the money — there has been none of that stuff involved that’s for sure — but it’s the occasional note like this.

I just wanted to pass this along, posted with permission from the author:

“I apologize in advance if my English is not good enough, hopefully I would be understandable enough for getting to the point.

First you are too humble, I was looking for a congratulations option in the contact reason to tell you that your theme is great, awesome. And moreover you are a great teacher, everything is clearly explained in your site, you are so careful with details.

This is the first time I install wordpress, and I was very afraid of not doing it well or blowing things because of my ignorance.

But this Lunar Beast Blog theme is THE THEME.

I would like you to take a look, as I went into customizations to get it into Spanish language contact. Probably you would like to know that because of what your theme inspired me the WP Blog is entitled as “The green dot” and all contents are referring to dots, periods or points, poetry is most of the content there, but poetry that is for crying is under the category of “the blind point” (Punto Ciego) and so, and so.

Well I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate your effort, send you a big hug, and all the blessings for you and your family.”

Fabiola, thank you for making me smile. You are very welcome.

Terrific site. Very nice blog template you have too. I read through most of the comments and they seem to be right on the money. Great job, keep up the great blog efforts.
