Beast-Blog v2: Accessible WordPress Theme

Posted January 22nd, 2007 by Mike Cherim

It’s more than a Rebootification Project. It’s a lot more accessible, more usable, friendlier, better than before, and quite simply more. Yes. I’m extremely pleased to announce the launch of my Beast-Blog Theme v.2.0 and its dedicated support blog, now sporting the new design. Finally a new version of my long-popular version one of the same name. This has been long overdue and was screaming for a technical upgrade.

I think the new version’s design is pleasing (to me). I like this design, too, though, and I’m still supporting the original look as a bonus with the new download. This blog is using that version of the new theme’s download package. I did make a handful of modifications over and beyond the public theme because this particular installation has special needs due to the way my main site — where the original design was born — is tied to this blog. I think you’ll like what I did; I know it makes me feel a bit rejuvenated. On the mechanical side of things, to you web developers, I think it’s pretty solid. It was a lot of work if that means anything.

Anyway, check out the new design, get the technical details, download it leave some feedback if you want — here or there, and let me know if you find something messed-up with it, maybe bring it up in the support post, or just contact me (the original contact form got a new style sheet too).

Shurely shome mishtake? “Accessibile” is the bile that comes out in torrents when you rant about a badly-designed site. (Note to self: remember that definition, I like that). Accessible is when people can access it….
