New Beast-Blog Theme Localization

Posted September 13th, 2006 by Mike Cherim

Beast of a Blog I’m pleased to announce my accessible Beast-Blog theme has been once again localized, this time in Hebrew — the first one was done in French. I’m grateful to Sharon Gefen for doing the work on it. Toda raba, Sharon. I must say it looks pretty cool with a right-to-left letter direction. It really pleases me to see the popularity of this theme keep right on growing and growing.

Accessible SeaBeast Theme for WordPress

Posted June 2nd, 2006 by Mike Cherim

SeaBeast - An Accessible WordPress Theme by Mike Cherim I’ve just released a new WordPress theme I’m calling “SeaBeast” to which I’ve gotten good feedback on so far. I’m pretty happy with it. It represents a ton of work that’s for sure. The reason is while on the surface it may seem simple, there are a host of features and added functionality built right in. And there’s more. I created it in such a way that you don’t have to make any of the usual files writable — the ones some people have problems with, like sidebar.php for example — because they don’t need editing. Everything is done via the well-commented configuration files I created. Oh, and it’s quite accessible.

1000+ Downloads

Posted December 7th, 2005 by Mike Cherim

Anyway, I’m a little amazed by the volume.

I looked at the counter this morning and realize that the Beast-Blog Theme for WordPress has been downloaded over a 1000 times. Wow. So tell me, dear theme user, you like it? Is it working out for you? I know of some users’ implementations that seem to be working well for them. Anyway, I’m a little amazed by the volume. It’s only been available since Oct 22nd.

Beast-Blog Wallpaper

Posted November 6th, 2005 by Mike Cherim

Beast-Blog Wallpaper Not sure if anyone’s interested in this sort of thing, but I made a “Beast-Blog” theme wallpaper for the desktop of your computer. To use this background just select one of the two sizes I’ve made available — 1024×768 or 800×600 — be sure to enlarge the image fully, then right click on it with your mouse (I don’t know how to do it otherwise without simply saving the image and setting it manually). Choose “Set as Wallpaper,” “Set as Background,” or “Use Image on Desktop,” depending on what browser you’re using. If you like this sort of thing… enjoy! If other sizes are wanted, just let me know and I’ll do ‘em up.

Beast Blog Theme for WordPress

Posted October 21st, 2005 by Mike Cherim

I have created a theme for WordPress web log users called “Beast Blog.” It’s what you’re seeing here and now. The style has recieved a lot of positive attention and I was asked by members of the WordPress community to make it available as an official WordPress theme release. I made this web log entry specifically to accept comments, complaints, bug reports, whatever Beast Blog related stuff you may have on your mind. If you wish to download this theme for your own use, or to get more information, please check out this permanent Official Beast Blog Theme Information Page.

I’m Gonna Do It!

Posted October 8th, 2005 by Mike Cherim

I decided that I am indeed going to re-theme this blog to match Green-Beast.com after all. Moreover, instead of doing it and “launching” a new theme, “I’m just gonna do it.” Live!

Shall Me Bloggy Be Dotty?

Posted October 1st, 2005 by Mike Cherim

I redid my Online Portfolio! I’m diggin’ the Spartan look of it. It makes the message stand out. I’m getting good feedback on it from others so far so that’s a good thing. Now I’m considering applying the same theme to this blog — to make it part of the family moreso, so to speak.
